A Chocolate Sable Dog carries the Gene Formula (ayatbCDEgmrSt).
This color is recessive in nature and will re-produce itself Only when
bred to a dog that is the same color or to one that carries the Chocolate
(b) gene in combination with Tan (ay) gene and the black and tan (at) gene.
This color usually displays itself as soft brown in shades from light to
dark. It always has a nose to match the coat color and never black. In
some breeds it would be called Red but differs in genetic formula from
a Red or Red Tan dog.
If this dog also has white on the coat it means that the (S) gene would
be replaced with one of these White producing gene patterns, (si,sp, or
