only
if bred to a dog of the same color or to a dog that is carrying the blue
(d) gene recessively. The Tan markings or Points of tan that show
on the coat are specific to this gene. This color can also be dominated
by the color Black and the color Tan. It can appear in varying shades from
very light silver to a deep gray in color. The Tan points can also vary
in shade from a light creme to a deeper brown color.
