Section One

The Main Index contains links to all the other sections of the program and a selection of articles to read that help you understand how to choose your dogs color and a basic understanding of how color works. It is recommended that you read them to obtain accurate results when choosing your colors.
Articles included:
*How do I know what color my dog is?
*Knowing your dogs genetic makeup
*Recessive - Pheno - Geno Type, What is it?
There is also a link to a Color Viewer where the color categories are broken down. You can quickly view many photos of dogs in different shades of color within a given category.

Section Two

The Color Index  is where you actually choose your dogs color. At the Color Index you will choose either the color of your sire or your dam but not both. By choosing and clicking on a color on this page it sends you to confirm the color of your dog by allowing you to view a photo of the color with a brief explanation. Once confirmed simply click on the Mating Results Link and it will bring you to the answers. The color of your dogs mate will be chosen on the Mating Results page. You may also click the Viewer to see photos of dogs in many colors at any time.

Section Three

Is where your Results will actually be displayed and you will get your answers. They will be displayed in a database fashion. You will see a chart containing the color you chose. Next to the color you will see a color that it is crossed to represented by an x. Scroll threw the selections until you see the color of your dogs mate. The colors of the offspring that may be produced from this mating will be listed to the right of your choice. You will also be able to see at a glance what other combinations may come out if your mate was a different color.

You now have the option of going back to the Color Index and choosing  another color or go anywhere else in the program.

NOTE* - This program allows you accurate predicting of your chosen mating but does not take into consideration any recessive colors that your dog(s) may carry. In order to calculate recessives into your mating you must understand how they work and it is advised that you read the section that explains recessives.
