TanApricot Explained
A Tan Apricot Dog carries the Gene Formula (ayBCdEgmrSt). It will re-produce itself Only when bred to a dog that is the same color or to one that carries the blue (d) gene and the tan (ay) gene. The presence of the (d) gene is what dilutes the tan down to a color that is apricot in appearance. It is sometimes confused with the color Apricot or Chocolate Apricot in various breeds but differs in formula and will not produce a true Apricot. The dogs can range in color from a light tan to a soft apricot.
