Chocolate White and Tan Explained
Chocolate/White/Tan  (atbCDEgmrsi/spt) This color has the same formula as the Chocolate and Tan dog with the exception of carrying a different gene that produces varying amounts of white. It will reproduce its color only if bred to a dog of the same color or to a dog that is carrying the Chocolate (b) gene recessively. If your dog is Chocolate White and Tan the (S) gene would be replaced with one of these White producing gene patterns, (si, or sp) in any combination. The shade of chocolate varies in the same manner as for all chocolate colored dogs and can range from a deep Liver color to a milk chocolate color. The nose is always brown, chocolate, red or a color that matches the coat and never black. For more info see White Chart.
