Chocolate Explained
A Chocolate/Liver Dog carries the Gene Formula (AbCDEgmrSt). This color is recessive in nature and will re-produce itself Only when bred to a dog that is the same color or to one that also carries the chocolate (b) gene. A dog of this color will always have nose that is brown, chocolate, red or a shade of brown that matches the coat color and never a black one. Regardless of whether a chocolate dog also has white or tan on its coat it will still have a brownish colored nose . It can range in shade from a deep Liver color to a milk chocolate color as seen in the examples above.
