Charcoal White and Tan Explained
Charcoal/White/Tan (atBCdEgmrsi/spt) This color has the same formula as the Charcoal and Tan dog with the exception of carrying a different gene that produces varying amounts of white. It will reproduce its color if bred to a dog of the same color. If your dog is Charcoal White and Tan the (S) gene would be replaced with one of these White producing gene patterns, (si, or sp) in any combination. It also has the same formula as a blue and tan dog but presents itself in a different manner turning the dog a charcoal color rather than the grays of a blue dog. This is attributed to Modifying genes. It may also be due to the theory of the color black being more than one type hense the blue blacks or red blacks or charcoals. For more info see White Chart.
