 A Black and Tan Dog
carries the Gene Formula (atBCDEgmrSt) and will reproduce its color if
bred to a dog of the same color. It is recessive in nature and can be dominated
by the color Black or Tan or Agouti. The Tan markings or Points of tan
that show on the coat are specific to this gene. Unless it is in double
dose the tan points will not show.
